Homemade Montreal Steak Seasoning Recipe
A homemade version of McCormick's Montreal Steak seasoning. Perfect for steaks and as a dry rub for bbq ribs.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoon kosher salt
- 2 tablespoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon ground coriander
- 1 tablespoon dried dill
- 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine paprika, pepper, salt, garlic, onion, coriander, dill, and red pepper flakes. Use immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
Cooks Tips
The ingredient count for seasoning blends does include salt and pepper.
Variation
Marinade: Combine 1-½ tablespoon seasoning blend with ½ cup virgin olive oil and ¼ cup red wine vinegar. Mixture will be enough to marinate approximately 2 lbs.
